HL7 socket-to-socket communications program. This is a DLL application that gets created by CNHL7 for each HL7 profile defined. It will create a new DLL for each instance needed, up to 5 instances. Typically, one instance will handle inbound ADT transactions, and another instance will handle outbound HL7 results (reports).

ChartVox Solo. The application for PC-based dictation using a Philips SpeechMike. Dictated audio jobs are then uploaded to ChartNet via MTSOLO.

MTBACKUP.EXE

Nightly system backup utility. Uses the Advantage Database built-in functions to do either a full backup, or differential backup.

MTCCSVR.EXE

Manages the interfacing to the Concord servers for voice recognition. Handles requests from MTVRSVR and then, depending on the type of request, will launch a .NET program (MTCONCORD) to service the request via web service calls to Concord. Creates response files to let MTVRSVR know the status of the request.

MTCDA2WORD.EXE

Converts MModal CDA (XML) documents to RTF documents for storage in ChartNet. This process is called "rendering" and requires the use of the AnyModal Publish software supplied by M*Modal. Typically, MTCDA2WORD runs on a separate server. Multiple servers can be configured for high volume situations.

Manages all report distribution. Launches two instances of MTREPTSVR, one for distribution requiring printing and one for non-printing distributions. If a separate server is required for doing printing, then MTDISTRIB can launch MTREPTSVR using DCOM.

The main fax scheduler. Handles requests coming in from MTSNDFAX clients.

MTFTP.EXE

FTP client application used for sending and receiving files. Only used in situations that cannot be handled via the normal methods of getting data in and out of ChartNet.

MTGETDOCUMENT.EXE

Gets draft documents back from M*Modal. This is a .NET program called by MTMMSVR via requests made by MTVRSVR.

MTHL7.EXE

Used for processing files received by MTFTP. Will unzip and decrypt files if required. Used to process Voice Reader (MTRDR) files sent in.

MTRENDER.EXE

Manages the M*Modal rendering process. Creates requests that are handled by the first available MTCDA2WORD program. After MTCDA2WORD finishes rendering the XML document into an RTF file, it creates a response file telling MTRENDER the success or failure of the request. If successful, MTRENDER imports the RTF document file into the ChartNet database, then determines the next workflow. Each rendering server requires Word 2007 installed. Only run one instance of MTCDA2WORD on a given server. Can have multiple rendering servers.

Imports externally created reports into ChartNet. Files must be in RTF of DOC format. Document files must have a "header" section at the top that specifies the patient demographic fields, or you can use an .INI file to do this.

Handles distribution of reports. This is a COM automation server application that is instantiated by MTDISTRIB.

Web Server

ChartNet Request Server. This is a COM automation controller application that takes requests (in XML format) from MTWEBSVR, processes the request, then creates an XML response string to pass back to the client via MTWEBSVR. The XML response contains fields indicating the success or failure of the request, as well as data fields that the client requested. Depending on the type of request, a list of files to download will be included in the XML response string.

Used to Set the System Down flag and shut down ADS Server. All programs must be closed prior to using this. It will also clear the flag.

Checks all ChartNet tables for proper record structure and indexes. Will restructure and/or reindex tables as required. Normally this is only run after a major software update. Can be launched directly from MTSOFT.

Submits audio jobs to MModal. This is a .NET program that is launched by MTMMSVR via a request made by MTVRSVR.

Voice recognition manager. Interfaces with MTMMSVR for sending and receiving data to MModal. Uses a simple "request" and "response" file technique for communicating to MTMMSVR, MTRSDSVR, and MTCCSVR.

MTVRTRAIN.EXE

Batch voice recognition training. Handles sending legacy audio files to Mmodal for training new speakers. Normally, new speakers are trained in real-time by sending jobs to M*Modal as they arrive in ChartNet. This program allows you to jump start the process by sending over old audio files for training.

MTWEBSVR.DLL

Web Server

The front end to the Request Server (mtreqsvr). This is an ISAPI application that handles all requests from remote client applications, such as MTCLIENT. Requests come in as an XML message, get handed off to the next available MTREQSVR application. Once the request is fulfilled, and XML response is created by MTREQSVR then handed back to MTWEBSVR, which then passes it back to the client application.
