ChartNet Services are “back-end” applications that are run on the ChartNet Host server(s). They are launched and monitored by the Service Controller (MTCTRL.EXE).
The Services or Programs are Windows applications and some are true Windows services. The Windows applications start with the letters “MT” and the true services start with the letters “CN”. We use the term “Services” to describe all the programs used in the Service Controller, both Windows applications and true Windows services..
