The following are considered "best practices" when setting up a site.
SITE CODES:
Use 4-character codes, zero-filled. This will insure that site codes sort properly when various management reports are run.
Site codes can be up to 6 characters.
Examples:
0020
1000
5001
USER GROUPS:
When setting up User Groups for site users, use the site code as the first 4 characters.
Examples:
0020HIM
0020WEBPORT
0020CLERKS
USERS:
For the "Login ID", use the first character of the first name, followed by the last name (or partial last name)
For the "User ID", any unique 4 digit code will do, but you may want to standardize on 0001-0999 for your employees.
Note: The default length for user ID's is 4 characters. This length can be changed on the Misc page of the System record.
Examples:
(UserID) - (LoginID)
0001 - BSMITH (for Bob Smith)
0002 - LJOHNSON (for Larry Johnson)
REVIEW WORK POOLS:
For review work pool codes, up to 10 characters can be used. If a work pool is required for a specific site, use the site code as the first 4 characters.
Examples:
SITE0001
SITE0002
Sometimes the review work pool code can be the same as the review queue name.
Examples:
INCOMPLETE
VRDRAFT
VRPROOF
VOICE WORK POOLS:
For voice work pools, up to 10 characters can be used. If a work pool is required for a specific site, use the site code as the first 4 characters.
Examples:
SITE0001 - Voice jobs for site 0001
SITE0002 - Voice jobs for site 0002
FORMS:
Up to 10 characters can be used for form codes. Select a code that indicates the work type. The form code (aka Report Type) is a searchable field, so codes that have some meaning to them are easier to remember.
Examples:
HP - History and Physical
DS - Discharge Summary
OP - Operative Report
CON - Consultation
SITE USERS:
For the "Login ID", use the first character of the first name, followed by the last name (or partial last name)
For the "User ID", select a 2-character code that represents the site, followed by 2 or 3 digits that together form a unique User ID.
Examples for site "Methodist Hospital":
(UserID) - (LoginID)
MH001 - BJONES
MH002 - SSMITH
