The "chartnet_apps" local account is used by various ChartNet programs to access server and network resources. It must be created on each machine that will be running ChartNet applications at the host facility.

NOTE: This step is not necessary if the network is using a Domain controller and the domain has an account called 'chartnet_apps' that has full admin rights.

1.Bring up a DOS command window

2.Navigate to the \BIN folder of Chartnet

3.Type: Add_Chartnet_Apps

4.This runs a batch file that creates the chartnet_apps account.

5.Verify that this account exists and has a password that never expires.
