Navigation:  System Maintenance > Utilities > MTUTILS > Import > Import Speed Type File

This will import a Transcriptionist Speed Type (Auto Correct) into ChartNet's ExpandType.

 

Format: MS Word AutoCorrect or Delimited Text File.

Input File: This is the location of the Delimited Text File. NOTE: this option is disabled for MS Word AutoCorrect.

User ID: This is the Internal ChartNet User ID.

Delimiter: This is the separator used in the Delimited Text File

Delete existing ExpandType file first: by default, this will add to the existing ExpandType file. If checked, it will delete the file and create a new ExpandType from the import file.

Convert shortcuts to lowercase: Since ExpandType looks at the case of the "typed" abbreviation to know how it should be expanded, it is recommended to leave this checked.

Replace existing abbreviations if they exist: If this is checked, the entry in ExpandType will be overwritten, otherwise it will skip and not add it.

ExpandType Maintenance: This will open the users ExpandType specified above in the user ID field.
