Device types are described below:

PRINTER:  This will distribute the document on a remote printer at the customer's location.

 

PRINT TO CURRENT PATIENT LOCATION:  This will distribute the document to a printer at the patient's location based on the current location in the MPI record.  This is also know as "printing to the floor".

 

OUTBOUND INTERFACE FILE:  This is used when you need to create a file used for either batch printing, HL7 or standard document file, such as PDF, RTF or Word.

 

FAX TO SPECIFIC ADDRESS:  This will fax the document to a specific address configured in the Address database.

 

EMAIL TO SPECIFIC ADDRESS:  This will send an unencrypted email to a specific address configured in the Address database.

 

USE DISTRIBUTION RULES TABLE:  This is an advanced distribution method that can distribute documents to different devices.  Please contact ChartNet Support for assistance with this.

 

NULL DEVICE (FOR CREATING LOGS ONLY):  A null device will mark a document delivered.

 

 

Output Locations are described below:

HOST:  Your ChartNet DB server.

 

REMOTE:  A server on your customer's network.

 

CLIENT:  The machine that is running ChartNet.
