ChartNet is designed to grow with your business and can be configured in a very distributed environment for load distribution. We recommend that all mission critical servers be hosted in a datacenter. Servers can be dedicated for the following functions:

•Database – limit of 1

•Service Controller (Application Server) - (limited per domain name)

•Web Portal (limited per domain name)

•Rendering - limit of 1

•Faxing - unlimited

•Remote server – unlimited

Recommendations:

All recommendations are based on storing 90 days of voice files.

ChartNet servers require the Microsoft Windows Server operating system, and is compatible with version 2008 through 2012 R2.

Less than 500,000 lines per month

Minimum requirements:

Single server

•Microsoft Windows Server 2008 through 2012 R2

•Dual core Xeon processor

•12 GB RAM

•500GB free disk space (RAID storage recommended) (separate from OS volume)

•Fax modem (if faxing)

•Internet Access –normally 12903 lan and 443 (or 12905) internet but this can be configured to any port.

500,000 – 2.5 million lines per month

Optional Servers:

Voice Recognition Rendering

When using voice recognition, rendering software is required to render the documents. Microsoft Word 2007 is also required for rendering documents processed using the MModal voice recognition engine. This software can be run on the existing application server, or a dedicated server depending on your volume. This server must have local access to database server.

Faxing

When using ChartNet to distribute via fax, our faxing program (MTSENDFAX) is required to fax documents. The ChartNet fax software requires the use of an analog fax modem. This software can be installed on a remote server and does not require local access. This means you can locate your fax server at a facility or another location separate from the datacenter.

WebPortal

The ChartNet WebPortal is a powerful portal that can be used for the following applications: Voice Management, Document Search, Reporting, Review documents, E-signature, and the ChartNet dashboard. This portal can be run on the application server or a dedicated server depending on your volume. This server must have local access to the database server

Remote Server / Service Controller

A remote server is utilized to remotely communicate to a ChartNet host (database / application server(s)). It can be used for one or all of the following functions:

•HL7 interfacing (ADT, ORM, ORU, MDM, SIU (iPhone app only) – TCP Socket or file drop

•Audio file uploading (optional)

•Remote report distribution (HL7 interface or remote printing or file drop)

•Faxing (optional)

Minimum requirements:

•Microsoft Windows operating system. A server Operating System is recommended, though the application(s) will also work on Windows 7 and later.

•2.0 GHz (or higher) Processor

•4 GB RAM

•25 GB Free disk space

•Internet access (port 443)
