Install .Net Framework 4.0 on the Web Server

Install WP2

Unzip WP2Install.zip into a new folder 'i.e. C:\WP2'. Download from Download server.

In the \Bin folder, run FontListMakerConsole.exe. This will make a file FontList.XML in the bin folder.

 

Run the IIS Server Configuration

If the Tab, ASP.Net does not exist in the IIS web site Configuration or 4.0x is not an option, then run:

 aspnet_regiis.exe –i

It should exist in c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\vXXX

IIS must have read/write access to the WP2 Downloads folder.

WP2 requires a new domain prefix. 'i.e. WP2.yourdomain.com; new.yourdomain.com, etc'

A port must be tied to the full domain name specified above. Recommend both regular and SSL.

IIS WP2 Web Site Configuration

HTTP Headers Tab, MIME Types button. Add the two types for Silverlight

Ext. - .xap

Type - application/x-silverlight-app

Ext. - .xaml

Type - application/xaml+xml

IIS ChartNet Web Site Configuration

HTTP Headers Tab, MIME Types button. Add the type

Ext. - *.

Type - application/octet-stream

 

Edit the file  ..\View\ChartnetWP.ini and change to your settings

Playing DSS/DS2 files in Web portal

To play a DSS or DS2 file in the web portal you must first install the Olympus ODSM Ver. 6 software on the Chartnet server.  This software can be downloaded from http://downloads.chartnettech.com/installs/misc.

*Note - For Server 2008 and 2012 the Windows Desktop Experience is required.  Installing the Windows Desktop Experience will require a reboot of the server.
