The Value Lookup List feature is utilized when you want to have a list of items for a field on the on the Report Data Screen (RDS).  This can also be referred to as a value list.

This is common if you want to have a transcriptionist choose a location, department, or another value that is required on the document or for interfacing into a remote system.   It is also used for mapping of values based on incoming HL7 ADT feeds or schedule feeds.  The mapping function is used in rare scenarios where you need to map different values to values that are already in ChartNet.
