1. On the host server, use the ChartNet Client to create an HL7 Device record.
•Set the "Location" to "Remote"
•Set the Interface Type to "HL7"
•Set the path to "%root%\public\sites\[site]\HL7-Reports\Prod"
•Set the Filename to "Report_ID"
•Set the Extension to "HL7"
•Add the device to the Forms Distribution list.
2. On the remote server, create an MTHL7PROC profile using the MTCONFIG tool.
•Click on "New"
•Set the Program Name to "MTHL7PROC"
•Set the Site Code to the site code that will be importing these transactions into its MPI file
•Set the Data Type to "HL7-REPORTS"
•Set the Production / Test to "PROD"
•Set the Interface Direction to "OUTBOUND"
•Set the Description to "Send HL7 Reports"
•Press F10 to save
•Click on Edit
•Click on the "Data Fields" tab
•Set the Host Network Address to the IP address of the customer's server that will be receiving the files
•Set the Port Number to the TCP port that you and the customer agreed to.
•Set the File Mask to "*.HL7" (i.e. use the same extension as defined on the Device record)
