The Service Controller (MTCTRL) is the "master" program that is responsible for starting up and monitoring the various "service" applications that are responsible for doing specific tasks, such as faxing or HL7 interfacing. Once the Service Controller program is launched, it will automatically startup all the other applications. Closing the Service Controller will likewise close all applications running under it.
Services that are listed in the Service Controller list can be controlled individually by right-clicking on the service application and selecting from pop-up menu. For example, Services can be started, stopped, edited, or their logs viewed.
